Fragments from the Surface : A Photo Document of Britain. For a more than a decade I have walked the streets of Britain, early in the mornings mostly, trying to capture the mood and feeling. Here is a small selection of documentary photography from this project. It hopes to express my view of the Country, it is my reaction to a scene, this then is my Britain, fragment by fragment, one frame at a time. The work is an attempt at photographic art and story telling, the essence of documentary photography. Do note that all images are full frame. A new work on this theme was begun circa 2020 using colour film as a way to express the current state of play here in Britain as we face up to life post Brexit and Covid.
